So this is my Style.com sign off. I want to thank everyone over the last six years for their incredible outpour of support. I grew up glued to my computer screen living vicariously through the world of Style.com and never in a million years did I expect to become a contributor to the most relevant and influential fashion publication. It’s sad to see it go but fashion is all about change and moving forward. I want to thank Dirk Standen, Nicole Phelps and Tim Blanks for mentoring me and giving me this platform. I, still to this day, pinch myself that I had this incredible opportunity and will be forever grateful to the Style.com team for allowing me to be a part of history. Last week was my last submission in the field and I was fortunate to have my friend, Nick Wooster, be the last image I took for Style.com. Many, many thanks again, Tommy http://www.style.com/street/tommy-ton/2015/spring-2016-menswear-street-style

It seems like Instagram is slowly becoming the go-to site for making major announcements in the fashion world – just last week, famed editor, Eva Chen, followed her resignation announcement with news of her amazing new gig (which ironically, happens to be Instagram, btw). Well now, another famed fashion enthusiast has turned to Instagram to announce major news.

Tommy Ton, the notable street style photographer best known for his work with Style.com, has announced his departure with the fashion-infused website. It was speculated that a decision like this was on the horizon, especially after the site published a five-year span of his work last September, and Tommy Ton then shut down his street style blog, Jak & Jil.

On Tuesday he Instagrammed his last Style.com photo (which happened to capture the famous Nick Wooster) along with some humbling parting words. As of yet, we’re not sure exactly where Tommy Ton is headed, but with his undeniable skill, its bound to be somewhere great.

Check out a few of our favorite Instagram moments from the infamous street style photographer ahead.
