In the fashion world, Rihanna has become a one-woman-recipe for success, which pretty much explains why Puma tapped her as its latest brand ambassador and creative director. Now, thanks to the company’s quarterly reports, we know that RiRi has boosted Puma’s sales 7.9 percent (which is around $848 million) ever since the announcement of their partnership, reports Fashionista.
The successful collaboration has been gaining major stamina with the fashion icon featured in multiple in-store market campaigns and teasing everyone with exclusive photos via Instagram. But of course, having a pop icon as the face of your brand comes at a price!
In true #BBHMM essence, the athleticwear label is reportedly spending 20.4 percent more – about $392 million – than the previous quarter just to work with the singer and English football club, Arsenal. But we have a feeling the larger portion of that amount has a lot to do with RiRi.
The anticipating launch of the Puma x BADGAL collection is set to make its big debut later on this year. And if there’s anyone who we think can pull off designing athletic wear like a boss, it would have to be Rihanna.
