Cara Delevingne is finally slamming all the rumors of her ditching the modeling industry for good. It was just last month when we (and everyone else in the fashion world) were pretty much convinced that the British beauty was focusing strictly on acting. Not only had Delevingne parted ways from her former agency, Storm Models, and landed a starring role in the film, “Paper Towns,” but she also has six upcoming features on her roster.
Well now the 22-year-old has announced that she isn’t ready to give up the career that shot her to fame. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Delevingne said, “I’m not stopping modeling, I’m not retiring. I’m just doing film for the time being. Careers change and you develop and get older. I still have very close relationships with the people I used to work with. Maybe I’ll do fashion sometimes, but at the moment I have no time to do anything.”
The announcement comes as music to our ears, especially because Delvingne’s modeling chops are ones that can be considered top-notch. But if you’re looking to catch her on future fashion week runways, we’re here to tell you that that’s no longer. According to THR, the ‘It’ girl made it clear that she’s done with the catwalk and will no longer participate in any fashion week presentations. Guess we can’t get everything we wished for.
