If there’s one thing we’ve taken away from Men’s Fashion Week fall 2016, it’s that the gender-neutral trend is having a major moment. Thanks to innovative designers throughout runway shows in Milan, London and Paris, the catwalk has been filled with standout staples that would typically show face in womenswear collections – we’re talking oversized knits, floral embellishments, fur, cropped trousers and more.
For Gucci, Alessandro Michele controlled the runway with an eccentric aesthetic that showed in both his looks and the color palette. Statement pieces like capes and a floral, fur-lined denim jacket proved that outerwear can definitely be pushed when it comes to gender boundaries. On the other hand, every woman’s favorite coveting accent (fur) made an appearance on multiple men’s looks. Decorated throughout jackets, trench coats, and even oversized knits, the textural staple created a range of epic moments that are definitely worth investing in when the season comes.
We’ve learned to understand that guy’s fashion has a lot to do with our very own wardrobes – and that statement makes even more sense after this season of menswear runways.
Checkout some of the fall 2016 looks that’ll look equally flattering on you, as they do down the catwalk.
