Though she officially announced her departure from the runway, Gisele Bundchen still manages to make headlines – and for good reason. It was just last week when we got word that the Brazilian beauty still reigns the number one spot on Forbes’ highest paid model list. And now the 35-year-old is getting the perfect gift to cap off her season-spanning career.
Soon to come is Bundchen’s very own coffee table book, Gisele: a 536-page turner that carries 300 photographs (including some nude shots) for all her die-hard fans. But surprisingly enough, it’s not the actual book that’s catching our attention; it’s the retail price – which rings in at: (cue the dramatic music) $700. Seems like more of an investment, right? The good news is that the model is donating all the proceeds to charity. And according to Racked, Bundchen’s Brazilian fans will have a chance to snag a standard edition of Gisele released simultaneously with the Collector’s Edition.
Taschen, the German publisher, is releasing the limited edition book with a total of 1,000 numbered copies, all signed by Bundchen herself. And with the book carrying images of the supermodel by renowned photographers like Juergen Teller, Irving Penn and Corinne Day, it’s bound to be one of the most-talked-about fashion forward hardcovers there is.
Gisele is set to be out in November, and is currently available for pre-order. But if you don’t have a spare $700 lying around (like us!) check out a few of Bunchen’s best fashion moments both on and off the runway ahead.
